With so much business today running over the internet, including the HITS point-of-sale system, we recommend that all businesses have a fallback internet plan for times when your primary internet provider may have a disruption in service.

Fallback internet can achieved with either:

1) Mobile hotspot (jetpack) provided by a phone provider
2) Cell phone (any smart phone can be turned into a mobile hotspot)

Both solutions would require that your workstation has WIFI capability, as both of the above solutions require a WIFI signal.

Once you activate your “personal hotspot,” whether that be on jetpack or your mobile phone, from the WIFI settings on your workstation, select the appropriate fallback internet option to get reconnected to the internet.
